When you apply for a margin loan, the minimum credit limit you can specify is $20,000.
Provided you have sufficient collateral on the loan, your credit limit represents the maximum amount you will be able to borrow. You don’t have to use the full amount, and you’ll only pay interest on the amount you borrow.
Once your loan is up and running, you can request for your credit limit to be increased or decreased as it suits you (provided you keep a minimum credit limit of $20,000).
