How do I transfer funds to or from my CDIA?

The easiest way to transfer funds to your CDIA is to make a deposit from any linked Commonwealth Bank account via NetBank. However, you can also transfer funds from another financial institution.

How to transfer funds into your CDIA using NetBank:

  1. Log in to your NetBank account and click on "Transfers & BPay" in the main menu.
  2. In the "From" field, use the dropdown menu to select the account you would like to transfer from.
  3. In the "To" field, use the dropdown to select your CDIA.
  4. Enter the amount you want to transfer, and enter a description if required.
  5. Click on "Next" to proceed with the transfer.

How to transfer funds from another financial institution:

  • Log in to your NetBank account and select View accounts in the main menu.
  • Click on Account information and use the dropdown menu to select your CDIA account.
  • Here you'll see your CDIA BSB and account number - make a note of these.
  • Contact your other financial institution to do the transfer, or complete it yourself online if this service is available.

Transfers to and from other financial institutions are not instant. If you transfer funds from NetBank to another Australian financial institution before 6pm (Sydney/Melbourne time) on a business day, the funds will generally be available in the recipient's account within one or two business days.

If you transfer funds from NetBank to another Australian financial institution on a weekend or public holiday or after 6pm (Sydney/Melbourne time) on a business day, it can take up to three business days to appear in the recipient's account.

If you’re not registered for NetBank, you’ll need to contact the Commonwealth Bank and speak with a Customer Service Representative. They’ll provide you with the account details once you’ve been identified.
